Spitfire Sortie

For the aviation photographer few experiences match flying alongside a Supermarine Spitfire over the skies of Kent and the white cliffs of Dover.

Aero Legends at Headcorn aerodrome in the Weald of Kent are the owners of Spitfire TD314 HF9 that was flown for this sortie by Flt Lt Antony (Parky) Parkinson.

The photoship was a twin-engined DH Dove, itself of historic interest. Our route took us to the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne, along the white cliffs before retracing our path. We are so pleased with the results of the flight that we have two prints for sale on our website, one of which is a limited edition.
